Quintin Lindsmith is a partner and chair of Bricker Graydon's Litigation group. He has a national litigation practice and represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including insurance industry litigation, insurance product litigation, class action defense, bankruptcy litigation, estates and trusts, health care, employment discrimination, banking, and election law litigation.

Defend two national insurance carriers in $3 billion class action against 264 defendants challenging provisions of credit default swap agreements in the case of In re: Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc.
Member of trial team that prosecuted three successful constitutional challenges to Ohio's system of funding public schools on behalf of over 500 school districts, resulting in a $12 billion school facilities program, DeRolph v. State of Ohio
Successfully defended finance company against $300 million claim asserting improper financing of borrower, Brian A. Bash, Chapter 7 Trustee v. Textron Financial Corporation, et al.
Secured a $4.5 million judgment for one insurance carrier against another insurance carrier on a coverage issue, Chubb Custom Insurance Company v. Grange Mutual Casualty Company
Represented a Lloyd’s syndicate in action against insured law firm pursuing claims for rescission of policy and fraud, Brit Insurance Holdings NV v. Krantz, et al.
Represented a national insurance carrier in response to agent lawsuits in 25 states
Represented a pharmaceutical developer in arbitration securing an award of over $1 million, including attorney fees, against a global pharmaceutical manufacturer (private arbitration)
Complete defense victory following a jury trial in Wisconsin federal court in a matter involving a challenge to terms of a group fixed annuity by a public pension plan, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, et al. v. Nationwide Life Insurance Company, et al.
Complete defense victory for a telecommunications company following jury trial in $5 million action by a former officer claiming equity in the company, Duane C. Bennett v. James R.J. Martin, II, et al.
Complete dismissal by a Pennsylvania federal court of a pay-to-play action brought by a county pension plan against life carriers and fund managers seeking $75 million, Stephen L. Flood, et al. v. Thomas A. Makowski, et al.
Successful representation of manufacturer of a traffic photo enforcement system resulting in two Ohio Supreme Court decisions upholding the home rule powers of cities to enact ordinances allowing for such systems, Kelly Mendenhall, et al. v. Coordinating and leading twenty-six separate litigation matters on behalf of PHARMA challenging statewide initiative petitions concerning the public purchase of pharmaceuticals, In re: Keith Brooks

Successful defense of a bank president in a $28 million lawsuit following a four-week jury trial, United Olympic Life v. Delaware County Bank, et al.
Secure dismissal of all five separate agent lawsuits filed in Michigan against national insurance carrier, e.g., Bye v. Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company
Served as lead trial attorney for a Chapter 7 Trustee of a regional trucking firm and successfully secured a $2.3 million judgment against former shareholders who received funds from a complex leveraged buyout, In re: Suburban Motor Freight, Inc.
Retained as special litigation counsel for the debtors in the bankruptcy cases of In re: National Century Financial Enterprises, Inc., a $3.3 billion bankruptcy
Successfully participated as special counsel to Official Committee of Tort Claimants’ Committee in the bankruptcy case of In re: Dow Corning Corporation, assisting in various matters, including the formation and testing of a trial protocol for estimating tort claims in this multi-billion dollar mass tort bankruptcy case
