Carly M. Sherman

Carly serves local governments and school districts in a general counsel capacity, assisting them with navigating the wide range of legal issues they face daily. She handles a variety of litigation matters for public sector clients and regularly appears before common pleas courts and administrative bodies across Ohio. She also drafts and reviews contracts, ordinances, resolutions and policies on a daily basis, and routinely serves as legal counsel for public sector clients during public meetings and administrative proceedings.

Carly’s litigation practice for both public and private clients focuses on land use, zoning and general real estate matters. She has experience handling administrative appeals from governmental zoning decisions, public nuisance abatement actions, and real estate contract disputes. Carly also frequently represents clients in real property tax appeals to boards of revision throughout southwest Ohio, the Ohio Board of Tax Appeals and common pleas courts.
